Markaz United Youth Summit, a collaborated programme with UNO, which invigorated the ideas of sustainable development and peace among the highly talented youths chosen from over ten different countries concluded grandly at Markaz Knowledge City, Calicut. The concluding session of the summit was inaugurated by prominent Arab environmental activist and senior member of Ajman Royal family Dr. Shiekh Abdul Aziz Al Nuaimi. Sheikh stressed the involvement of youths in the preservation of the Green Environment. He hoped that the Summit would be a novel step towards enriching the significance of environmental protection among the youth and the generation to come. Rigorously taking up this responsibility as a means of preserving the human generation allows the meaningful existence of humankind in the earth. He was presented with the Green Award in recognition of his service to the course of environmental protection. Dr AP Abdul Hakeem Azhari, Director of Markaz Knowledge City, presided over the function. He said that Shiekh Abdul Aziz ’s change from a global entrepreneur to a proponent of Green Environment and earning a reputed nickname, Green Shiekh, makes him a profound role model for the youth in their future social activism. Ambassador Deepak Vohra addressed the Summit emphasizing how enthusiastically he spent two days among the delegates whom he called the future international diplomats. Dr Abdussalam, CEO of Markaz Knowledge City, handed over the Conference’s Honourary Award to Deepak Vohra.TP Ramakrishnan, Minister of Labour and Excise for the state, delivered felicitation address. He expressed his honour as a part of Kerala Government in conducting such an intellectually driven Summit in association with UNO in the state. Achyuta Samanta, Dr K Abdul Gani, Unaise Muhammed, Ameer Hassan, Anwar Sadath, Lukman Pazhur, Dr Shareef, Yasar Arafath, Mr Shoukath, Mr Mujeeb, Mr Habeeb, Dr Hussain, MP Ahmed, Flora Hassan, Mr. Nishad, KK Shamim Kalpeni and Jalal Nurani spoke in the Youth Summit.
