Dr. Muhammed Shukri Nada, The cultural Ambassador of Egypt Visited Markaz

Kozhikode: Dr Muhammed Shukri Nada, The cultural Ambassador of Egypt, visited Markaz in order to develop the educational and cultural exchange through the Markaz and Al Azhar, the famous Egyptian university founded centuries old. Markaz is the only institution in India which has academic collaboration with Al Azhar University since 2005, and hundreds of Keralite students have been studying in Azhar for Mphil and PhD since then. He said that Markaz and its founder Kanthapuram A.P Aboobacker Musliyar attempt to have a cultural bridge between Egypt and India. Because of his outstanding scholarly activities around the world, Kanthapuram has been invited to Egypt every year to the conference, the president of Egypt organises. He added that Markaz’s contribution in spreading the spirit of the Arabic language and its cultural values is highly recognizable. He presented an Egyptian made Memento to Kanthapuram recognising his contribution in strengthening the relation between India and Egypt. Muhammed Usman Al Bashir, the deputy ambassador of Sudan, also participated in the function.
